Marko Mlikotin
Marko Mlikotin is president of River City Communications, a public affairs and government relations firm that serves clients needs in California's capital city of Sacramento and in our nation's capitol of Washington, D.C. Mlikotin has more than 15 years of experience in public affairs, public policy and campaigns and elections.
As a member of Governor Pete Wilson's Administration and deputy appointments secretary, Mlikotin was responsible for advising the Governor on political appointments to state agencies, boards and commissions. Mlikotin also served as deputy political director of Governor Wilson's 1994 reelection campaign. Both in this capacity and as executive director of Wilson's public advocacy organization Citizens for California's Future, he was responsible for developing and managing specific public policy and political programs.
Mlikotin later served as chief of staff for Congressman Doug Ose, who served on the House Agriculture, Finance and Government Reform Committees. In this capacity, Mlikotin was responsible for developing and managing policy, appropriation, political and communications plans for the Chairman's personal office and Subcommittee on Energy, Natural Resources and Regulatory Affairs. In 2003, Mlikotin served as campaign director for the Doug Ose U.S. Senate Exploratory Committee.
During the 2003 recall election, Mlikotin served as Deputy Political Director of Californians for Arnold Schwarzenegger. After Arnold Schwarzenegger's election, he served in the Governor-Elect's Transition Office and helped establish the new Administration by advising the Governor on appointments to agriculture, resource and environmental related agencies.
Mlikotin was appointed by Governor Schwarzenegger to the Cal-Expo Board of Directors, and is a member of the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce and Folsom Chamber of Commerce.
Mlikotin received a bachelor of science in Public Administration from the University of Southern California.
